The first question is not which brand. It is what size fits you and what you will actually wear.
Case size
Measure your wrist. Under 16cm, a 36–39mm case will sit properly. 17–18cm takes 40–42mm comfortably. Anything larger is a stylistic choice rather than a fitting one.
Automatic or quartz
An automatic winds from the motion of your wrist and will run down if you leave it off for two days. That is not a fault. Quartz is more accurate and needs a battery every few years. Neither is more serious than the other.
Bracelet or strap
A steel bracelet is more durable and more formal. Leather is more comfortable in heat and cheaper to replace. Most watches take either.
What to spend
Buy the piece you will wear daily rather than the most expensive one you can stretch to. A watch worn every day for ten years is a better purchase than one kept in a drawer.
